Hello, my name is Tom, and I've been a professional teacher for the past 15 years. I am a native English speaker from the United States of America, currently living in Shenzhen China. I've lived in China for 5 years now. I've always loved teaching, which is why I became a teacher back in 1996. I was a High school teacher for 10 years, teaching English and creative writing. I hold masters in both English and Education, and am certified by the United States Department of Education to teach. Now from reading this you might think I am too professional, meaning too serious a person when it comes to my work, i.e no fun. Nothing could be further from the truth. Being serious about my work makes my classes that much more fun, as I understand the need for fun and interesting lessons. I also enjoy my work greatly, and this in infectious, as is my sense of humor. Over all my students experiences are both enjoyable and highly educational.
